London rooftop Views
I had a wonderful opportunity to see across the London skyline today.
Lets start with a view looking south-east. Just off-center on the skyline is Dome of Saint Pauls Cathedral surrounded by sky scrapers in the City of London. Behind the Dome in the far distance is Canary Wharf tower.
On the left are the buildings around the Barbican. Looking to the right, on the left of the round building is The Shard, currently Londons tallest building. To the right of that round building is the One Blackfriars. The round building itself is the Office of Rail and Road if your interested.
Here we are looking south west [below]. To the left is the Millennium Wheel. In the middle, the barrel shape building is Charring Cross station. Although hard to see, immediately to the right and behind is Big Ben - actually Elisabeth Tower to be precise and not St Stephens Tower as many think. Big Ben itself is the largest of the bells inside.
The tall buildings behind are in Vauxhall, to the south of the river. Looking to the right is Battersea Power station [with the four white chimneys - as in the Pink Floyd "Animals" famous cover].

My favorite London building - the Post Office Tower, below. This looking north-west approx.
And here we are looking directly north, below. The grand building with the green roof is the British Museum
